I’ve been using the activities in this book for about three months now and I’m already beginning to see a difference in the behaviour of the children. In fact, I’m sure the 13-year-olds really look forward to our Living Values slot twice a week: it gives them time to reflect and think about what they are doing in their lives, and it gives them confidence to discuss more important issues than who scored the latest goal. I didn’t need any special training to use the book, although it is recommended, but I will be going to a Living Values conference in November to share ideas with other educators using the program and to see what support I can get.
