Take one 50p piece, a simple list of ingredients, some really easy-to-follow instructions, and hey presto! A perfectly practical cookbook called Simple Vegetarian Recipes. I have never encountered such a plain, ordinary, down-to-earth and yet delicious cookbook. If you love to eat, but hate to fuss about food, this book is for you. Every mean can be made in half an hour from start to finish. I love the lentil soup and I’m looking forward to ‘Date and Banana Cake with Plum and Almond Sauce’. A good starting point for new vegetarians.
